Winter winds are all set to engulf us, but this time, the warmth and jubilation in our hearts come from Lohri festival. Lohri is an age-old Punjabi festival wherein it marks the harvest season, and families and friends sit around a bonfire. The crackling sound of flames, the sweet fragrance of gajak, popcorn, and rewari, and the rhythmic beats of dhol create pure delight.

It is not harvest festival but reminding one of gratification and good things to take. People have prayer, songs of folk type, and other celebrations in doing it during winter solstice passing by and much longer days now are coming their way.
