International medical graduates wishing to register in Australia must take the computer-based AMC CAT MCQ Clinical Assessment Test. It uses 150 multiple-choice questions to evaluate medical knowledge in a variety of subjects. Before moving on to clinical exams, it is administered by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) to make sure candidates fulfill Australian medical standards.
