During a recent family vacation through Orlando International Airport, I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the Orlando Airport Smoking Area was. As someone who enjoys a cigarette during long layovers but doesn’t want to stray too far from the gate while traveling with kids, this was a much-needed convenience. Located in a clearly marked area outside the terminal, the smoking section was easy to find and well-maintained. What stood out to me most was how clean the space was. Trash bins were readily available and regularly emptied, so it didn’t feel like a neglected corner of the airport. There was also enough seating, and the open-air design meant I could relax without feeling confined. My spouse appreciated that the kids and she could wait just a few steps away in a shaded area while I took a moment for myself. We never felt rushed, and re-entry to the terminal was seamless thanks to the efficient TSA staff. Overall, Orlando Airport helped make our transition between flights far less stressful. For families traveling with smokers, Orlando Airport strikes a nice balance between comfort and consideration for all travelers.
