Introduction
Micro, small, and medium enterprises are the backbone of the Indian economy and contribute to around 30.1% of India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and play a significant role in the growth and stability of the economy as well as in generating employment, increasing input output, and boosting exports. To support MSMEs, the Government of India launched the Udyam Registration System, which came into effect on 1 July 2020.
