The best desert camp in Sam sand dunes will allow you to become an expert in mounting camels. Just swiftly throw your leg over the middle of the humps and mount the camel. The stirrup gives you the balance, and, using the momentum for balance, you straddle fully the camel back. Now lean back as the camel stands up on its hind legs. Lean forward as the animal gets up onto its front legs. Wrap both legs around the straddle post. As Jaisalmer desert camp will tell you, the leg cross is the most comfortable position on long camel safaris.
