We have a traditional question for every yogi: what brought you to the mat and how did you start teaching?
I have always had a passion for sports. As a child, I decided that I wanted to dance. I found a dance school and went, fortunately, these pleasures used to be free. And there, as it turned out, I found myself, achieved success, danced in a show group and at 16 already had pocket money, honestly earned, money. Then university - there was no time. And I lived for dancing and began to look for a replacement, where to get endorphins.
Running was 10 km - cool, there was a gym - I got carried away, but boring. There was fitness - also cool. In general, I ran, carried iron, jumped on the step and NEVER went to yoga. I thought it was complete nonsense, a boring and uninteresting activity for grannies.
In short, that's how I lived, but over time, a problem appeared in my life that didn't give me any peace, it was eating me up from the inside. I read books, walked, distracted myself - it didn't help. And at the same time, yogi girls kept flashing on Instagram. I became interested in trying it: what if yoga really is so magical and unloads the brain, and look how beautifully they stretch their legs there, I think I could do that before too...
And I tried it. In a local fitness club. What hurt me was that I, a dancer in the past, could not repeat the basic exercises. When my pride was hurt, I started going more and more. Then it got boring, I began to study yoga myself and go to different teachers. Life began to change dramatically. I no longer worried about trifles, and, I will say more, I got what I wanted - I was finally able to get pregnant and give birth to a beautiful healthy child.
I admit, I became a fanatic and tried to attend as many master classes and listen to as many lectures as possible. I went to teachers, thinking that I would be able to look at the process from the inside. And then somehow everything started spinning on its own. Some friends asked me to train them, then the right gym was found, and so it went.
I look around and wonder how all this is possible? I am an ordinary girl, the most ordinary, and people know me, they come to me for classes and leave happy. I am sure that this is all because I am in my place, just MINE, so the Universe itself brings everything. I do not ask and do not kick. I know that I know a lot, I can do it and can teach. And I also know that I have something special inside, deep and pure. Or did I make it up?
What's better: yoga or stretching?
As they say, there's no accounting for taste. I'm for any physical activity. As long as people enjoy it and are beautiful. I love coming to the beach and admiring toned bodies and understanding that this person loves themselves. And yoga or stretching is a secondary issue. But in yoga, in my opinion, everything is somehow more harmonious and gentle. Although stretching is also cool, I really love it. For me personally, breathing techniques are important - they really work. Intention, good thoughts, attitude are important - yoga gives me all this, and I'm happy.
In one of your posts you wrote that you were afraid for your lower back: “there was a gross mistake – an epidural”, what happened?
Oh, yes. During labor, I was all for everything natural. I didn't expect such a turn of events. But I trusted my doctor and gave in to her persuasion to administer pain relief, there were reasons for that. In essence, it's very twofold. On the one hand, she made the whole process easier for me and I was able to easily and quickly give birth to a child with my narrow pelvis. On the other hand, epidural anesthesia is very serious.
It's a puncture in the spinal cord and this is no joke. As a result, after that, I couldn't bend over to tie my shoelaces for several months. A chiropractor and massage therapist spent a long time rehabilitating me. There was no talk of any bending. They were earned with great effort. So I advise you to think many times before using epidural anesthesia.
Do you always get your hair cut according to the lunar calendar? Why is this so important?
Yes, I became obsessed with haircuts according to the Moon, when many years ago I asked myself how to grow a long mane from a bob. And I grew it very quickly. And yes, I only get my hair cut according to the Moon. This is important, because the Moon influences all processes on our planet,
it is stupid to deny this, considering, for example, the ebb and flow of the tides. And we, as you know, are 80% water. Therefore, the Moon influences us and our biological rhythms in the most powerful way. Including the quality of hair. Every month I post a haircut calendar on Instagram, you can take a look.
How to make yourself do yoga? Some tips for beginners.
Why force? Everything should be done out of love. If you fall in love, you will go to the mat as if on a date with your loved one, and in the best leggings. And if without love, then so be it. Fall in love with something and enjoy it! And if you seem to have fallen in love, but sometimes you are lazy, then why not be lazy, if your body requires it.
